How to Be Your Real Self Online

⚡️How to be yourself in life and on social media

In life why is it so difficult to be yourself?

My work is about allowing your real authentic self-expression to shine through.

This makes it so much easier to show up as who you really are on social media.

I work with small, holistic business owners and individuals to show them how to really be themselves and express from their hearts. I create a space of ease, fun and joy and an environment where you can be vulnerable and also feel loved.

I have of a vision for the future where we are more connected, more able to express what we really want to say and more easily able to share about that anywhere, in life, in networking events, to your family and friends and on social media.

I don’t believe in confidence I just believe in allowing your real authentic expression to shine through. This makes it so much easier to show up as who you really are on social media.

I’ve worked with many clients running small holistic businesses and its always been the same things coming up around visibility and being yourself.

I’m really interested in everyone being able to be themselves and share from the heart. I think this leads to a world of love and connection for all. It is the vision I have of a future where we are more connected, more able to express what we really want to say and more easily able to share about that anywhere, in life, in networking events, to your family and friends and on social media.

With all the noise surrounding social media and how we have to show up regularly to promote our business, be more visible and get seen, often the essence of what social media really is all about can be lost. Essentially it is about human connection.

When my children were at school I was really scared of the pick up at the school gates. My therapist gave me various strategies to stay calm. I am not really into hiding. I found that actually when I dared to share my concerns with the other mothers I was embraced into the fold and included. It can be a bit like that social media. So much monotony. But if you can really be yourself, regardless of your niche, you will, over-time naturally connect with others who resonate with you, who feel aligned and you will be able to build your own community of connection and support as well as meet new friends, share authentically and have your instagram be a part of your day that is looked forward to rather than dreaded.

A lot of my clients are afraid that they will be too seen. too loud. too heard, too much.

And a lot of people just don’t go online because they think too many people will see it!

Often the reverse is true. Just because you have a website doesn’t mean anyone sees it does it. - that’s a whole other ball game.

But what if you really liked yourself and were able to accept who you are in this and any moment.

There is a beautiful poem by Rumi The Guest House.

Try these Exercises:

  • Write three things that you don’t like about social media

  • Write three things that you do

  • Write three of your proudest achievements

  • Write three things that you would prefer not to share

  • Write three accounts that you love to follow, what are they? What is it about them you love?

  • If you had the dream relationship with social media how would it be.

  • Are you proud of your services and offerings?

Then:

  • What do you want to post today

  • How much of yourself do you want to share

  • What is your thing? Images, Colour, Voiceover, Music Video? Post that.

Being yourself. How difficult can it be - odd isn’t it. That this is something that is sometimes the hardest of all to do.

Our world has not supported that. In fact at times it’s often done exactly the opposite and so we have learned to hide some of the less savoury aspects, our fears and sometimes dreams not just from others but also from ourselves. Part of my life’s work is showing others and supporting them how to get back to their real self using various tools such as deep listening, coaching, tantra, hypnotherapy and energy.

What the world really needs most is you.

There is a beautiful saying I learned on a course which is “the moment of your birth is the moment the universe decided it coolant do without you a moment longer”

The fact that you are here today means that you have a place, you are needed and you belong. All of us. All of you. Really take that in and breathe that in for a moment.

First I’d always put on some music and dance. Get into your body first. And this can be your little ritual before sitting down to write your strategy or post online.
